Dear Brothers, Sisters and Volunteers:

“Passing on the Gospel” is the theme of the 45th Anniversary Celebration of the Evangelistic Centre. Passing on the Gospel is believed to be one of the major challenges faced by most churches and Christian organizations. The gap between the values, lifestyles and cultures of the younger generation and those of the previous generation has created obstacles to the transmission of the Gospel and impacted the faith. We thank the Lord that in mid-May, a group of eight members from the Jonah Group (Youth Group) visited the visually impaired in Macau, and we are willing to spread the love and hope of the Gospel through our visits and care.

In the article “Church Sense” of Christian Weekly dated May 26, 2024 (Issue 3118), the “CMVIP VOICE” application was chosen as one of the pastoral care options recommended in the article.  We thank the Lord that through continuous outreach to the public, the community can pay attention to the needs of the visually impaired in their faith and create a more barrier-free living environment for them. Only in this way will they be able to better integrate into the community and church life and fully realize their talents and potentials.

Charity Concert in Celebration of the 20th Anniversarey of the Ella Kiang Singers will be held at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong City Hall on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the CMVIP for its ministry development. Thanks to the Lord’s guidance, a group of loving brothers and sisters are willing to work hard for the Gospel of the Kingdom, so that the visually impaired can feel the care of the community.

Ministry needs and prayers:

1. Please pray for the 45th Anniversary Celebration. We have only been able to confirm the location for the Thanksgiving Service and the evening meal on November 16, 2024, but we have no news on the locations for the other celebrations.
2. Please pray for the major repairs and renovation of the CMVIP. The renovation will cost a lot of money, and it will be a great challenge to raise enough funds.
3. CMVIP will be organizing a camp for visually impaired youths on 22-23 June. We hope that through this camp, the visually impaired youths will have a closer relationship with God, and we hope to build up a peer relationship with the participants through this camp.
4. Please pray for the preparation of the Summer Camp in July. Pray that the lives of the participants will be edified and they will enjoy the three days and two nights in the camp.
5. Please remember that CMVIP is planning to broadcast the Hong Kong Bible Conference on August 1-10, so that the visually impaired can participate in the annual spiritual event on broadcast network!
