MAY 2024 Newsletter

Dear Brothers, Sisters and Volunteers:
「Knowing this , that the trying of your faith worketh patience . 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 」 (James 1:3-4)
CMVIP found a leaking pipe in early April, and after further investigation, it turned out that there was a leaking rainwater pipe, and even the wall mounted cabinet was severely damaged by the flooding, and the bottom of the cabinet was turned into a pool of mosquito breeding water. We thank the Lord for finding an expert who was willing to help us dismantle the cabinet, and the Housing Department mobilized manpower to replace the pipe as soon as possible. Heavenly Father knows that the fire sprinkler system is a headache for our co-workers when they think of renovation, but through this incident, we see that it is really time for us to renovate and fix the problems in the CMVIP. Just like our Christian life, we need to have daily devotions, get close to our Heavenly Father, and let His word and love to fix the holes in our lives, and we may also have a major renovation after many years, just like what happened to the CMVIP.
Since the launch of the “CMVIP VOICE” application in 2023, CVMIP has received a lot of feedback and encouragement from our visually impaired members to improve the “CMVIP VOICE” to meet the needs of the visually impaired and to provide them with a better experience in using the application! Some of the visually impaired elderly who have mobility problems or live alone also benefited from the program. Through the simple operation of smart phones or tablet computers, they were able to listen to different kinds of spiritual resources, which enabled them to connect with their faith communities once again, thus achieving synergy in pastoral care and care for the visually impaired!
Ministry needs and prayers:
- Please pray for the preparation of the 45th Anniversary Celebration. CMVIP has not yet confirmed the dates and venues for the various events because it is very difficult to find a suitable place for the events, please pray for the Lord’s guidance.
- Please pray for the fire sprinkler system and the renovation of the CMVIP. The economy has not yet recovered, and the renovation fundraising is a great challenge.
- Please continue to pray for “CMVIP VOICE”. Pray that more visually impaired christians will be spiritually nourished, fed and edified through the use of this tool!
- Please pray for the youth camp in June. Pray that the Lord’s Spirit will move them to humbly listen to accept the Gospel, and grow spiritually.
- Please pray for the summer camp in July. Pray that the Lord would prepare and move believers who are willing to serve to help and serve the visually impaired together.
