Dear Ministry Colleagues, Brothers and Sisters, and Volunteers,:

「All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.」           (Psalms 22:27)

Lent is a significant season in the Church’s preparation to welcome the resurrection of Jesus Christ. How, then, do we prepare to enter this season? Lent serves to remind believers to meditate upon Christ’s suffering, to exercise their spiritual lives, and to welcome Christ’s resurrection. During this period, through disciplines such as fasting, prayer, and repentance, we cultivate our spirituality to experience suffering with Christ and perceive God’s compassion, forgiveness, and grace towards humanity. Simultaneously, through the personal experience of abstinence, renunciation, and self-denial, we come to understand the needs of the impoverished.

As the annual tax season approaches, many are contemplating how to make effective use of their tax contributions. This is not merely a legal obligation, but an opportunity to transform one’s heart. During Lent, the money saved can be used for donations, and you may consider converting your tax liability into support for the visually impaired. Through your donation, you not only provide financial assistance to those with visual impairments but also remember them in prayer, allowing them to feel society’s love and care. Donations of HK$100 or more made before 31 March qualify for charitable tax deductions for the 2025-2026 tax year, with a donation receipt provided.

From 2026 onwards, CMVIP will officially join ‘Forevergift’ as a member organization. As Christians, we cherish the hope of eternal life, yet we also recognize the importance of preparing wisely for our earthly journey. To support congregants in arranging their future with peace of mind, CMVIP has partnered with Forevergift to host a seminar on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney at CMVIP on 7 May at 2:00 pm.

This seminar will provide clear guidance on how to arrange your Three Treasures of Peace:

  • Wills – Ensuring assets are properly arranged to provide for your family’s needs
  • Lasting Power of Attorney – Authorizing trusted individuals to manage affairs if one becomes incapacitated
  • Advance Healthcare Directive – Respecting personal wishes and facing medical decisions with peace of mind

You are warmly invited to join us, so that together we may walk the heavenly path in the hope of faith, wisely preparing for the future, and living out the likeness of Christ.

Ministry Needs and Prayers:

  1. Please pray for the Lenten Meditation Gathering on March 30. Through experiential activities, Scripture, and quiet prayer, may brothers and sisters be guided to examine their hearts, reflect on Christ’s sacrificial love in suffering for us, and respond with gratitude to His grace, so that lives may be renewed.
  2. Please pray for the public release of CMVIP’s new website. May the Lord grant wisdom and insight to the responsible team to resolve technical issues and find effective solutions. We pray that this new website will become a blessing, enabling more people to learn about the ministry of CMVIP and the support provided to the visually impaired in their journey of faith.
  3. Please pray for the new braille printing machine. Although the new printer was purchased in November 2025, the original software has encountered various problems. Despite repeated remote online repairs, the issues remain unresolved, preventing large-scale braille printing as scheduled. May the Lord grant wisdom to all the technicians, enabling them to quickly identify the root cause and find a reliable and lasting solution.
